20 IDEAS TO SPICE UP YOUR AUTUMN RECIPES

Raclette, fondue, blanquette, roast vegetables

It’s autumn… which brings falling leaves, rainy days… but also tasty warming dishes which are deliciously and delightfully filling! Raclette, blanquette, fondue, roast vegetables … Tuck into some traditional, tasty dishes with friends and family! What about adding a hint of spice to these all-time favourites? Here are 20 ideas to spice up your autumn recipes:

5 ideas for a new take on raclette

Instead of buying raclette cheese that has already been flavoured, why not try adding spices yourself (place under the cheese to protect them from the heat of the machine).

Tip for a fun evening: place pots of spices on the table and let your guests make their own concoctions (you can mix the spices too!)

5 ideas to enhance your blanquette

What’s your blanquette like? Delicious, a bit out of the ordinary as we’ve added a hint of pepper or freshly cracked spices with a pestle and mortar (add 1 teaspoon for a blanquette for 4):

5 ideas for a fun fondue

You don’t have to be on the terrace of a ski resort to enjoy a cheese fondue. If you’re like the Swiss and love fondues and would devour one every week, maybe you’d like to customise your very own fondue with spices. Prepare your fondue as usual but add the spices with the cheese in the fondue pot before you melt it.

5 ideas to spice up roast vegetables

Oven-roast vegetables: an easy and delicious recipe, perfect for autumn root vegetables: carrots, turnips, butternut and other squashes, beetroot, potatoes … Peel them, dice them, spruce them with olive oil and sprinkle with spices, roast in the oven at 190 C  for 40 minutes. Enjoy! Place your diced vegetables (around 500g) in a large dish. Cover with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sprinkle on 1 - 2 teaspoons of crushed spices, mix well then spread out on a baking tray.

Over to you, spice up your recipes ….
